Evergreen Eco retreat is an hour’s drive from Banjul Internationl airport. We are located in Tintinto in Tujereng Village, South Kombo District. You will find us just off the coastal highway on the beach side. Tintinto meaning ‘small hill’, has just a few ‘compounds’ dotted around mainly housing Manjaku community. Their trade by tradition is typically palm wine and palm oil tapping. Visits to these interesting compounds can be arranged. You will see cattle grazing in surrounding farmland.

Evergreen Retreat is naturally fenced with an abundance of trees, plants, tropical flowers attracting many varieties of bird life. There are grass areas and cockle shell pathways. You will find hammocks and sunbeds around the grounds. Take your pick from secluded or open seating. Chill out at the bantaba, which is a good spot for bird watching or afternoon tea with cake. Open plan restaurant for tasteful homemade world cooking from our country kitchen. Tujereng deserted beach is a pleasurable interesting walk through bush track road, we will be happy to drive you there and back if you prefer. Close by is Fansues a well-established beach bar and restaurant or try Rainbow bar on Sanyang beach they hold regular drumming and cultural shows. Relax at the beach bars under palm shaded shelters and restaurants serving freshly caught fish with chips and salad, have a cool drink, lay back and take in the Gambian sunshine.
