Tanji Fishing Village 

Tanji Fishing Village Tanji is home to the biggest fishing village in The Gambia. There are many colourful wooden boats owned by individuals and families. An incredible sight to see the days catch being bought ashore; visit the smoke houses you can see the whole process of preserving the freshly caught fish and drying of the fish with salt. This is a working village and a fascinating insight to the Gambian culture.
